What Worked
They replayed the Steve Austin interview from last week. It was so good that I'll list it here one more time, but another full airing will be overkill.

Rocky Maivia/Farooq vs. Chainz/Crush was surprisingly watchable given these guys' track records. Even the post-match three-way brawl with Los Boriquas looked better than it usually does.

TAKA Michinoku pinned Jerry Lynn with a Michinoku Driver II. They gave a healthy amount of time to this match for a Monday night and both guys were allowed to look good on offense. TAKA hit his top rope springboard plancha out of the ring on Lynn which always gets a good pop from the crowd. The heat really built to the finish.

Sunny was back in a new role, this time doing locker room interviews. What most people don't notice is Sunny's personality which is well suited for this type of interview. She can do serious and comical as was evidenced on the show.

What Didn't Work

Shawn Michaels opened the show with a mediocre interview. It wasn't necessarily bad but Michaels was unconvincing in getting over the fact that he's the real loose cannon, etc. in the WWF.

Vader beat Bret Hart by disqualification in a match which was well below the ability level of both guys. I suppose it reinforced Vader as a face and gave the Patriot another opportunity for a run-in. Again, the whole thing wasn't so bad but it was disappointing

Goldust beat Salvatore Sincere fairly quickly and then Pillman taunted him from the stands. Goldust gave chase but nothing came of it. Wasn't Pillman supposed to wrestle in a dress every week?

Dude Love pinned Rockabilly with a DDT that was set up with some sweet shin music, a kick to the shin. There was a post-match interview outside the ring as well. The finish gave me a smile but that's about it.

The Undertaker closed the hour with an interview in which he condemned Shawn to hell. Whoa, this guys got clout! Anyway, it put me to sleep and I had to watch the rest of the show on tape. ;)

Hawk beat Davey Boy Smith by disqualification in a boring match, not that I expect anything from Hawk these days. Animal, Owen and the Godwinns ran in at the end, blah, blah, blah.

The Truth Commission beat The Headbangers in a match that had a screwy finish. The headbangers hit some cool moves but the Commission come off as just another WWF gang (e.g. NOD, DOA, Los Boriquas). The Commandant gave a good interview beforehand about "pleasures of the flesh" that gave me a chuckle but once the bell rang boredom took over.

I just couldn't get enthused about Raw this week.
