This may mean something, maybe not, but Magic Johnson is representing the Lakers tomorrow night. |

Joel Embiid will represent the 76ers, so if they win the lottery we can watch him yell out, "Trust the Process". |

I believe in Magic.
He has a helluva track record as a rookie.

I thought with Magic there, they would've gotten the top pick. I was wrong there.
Good luck with Poppa Ball. |

How fucking great is it having Magic around?
Anything now seems possible. Now have available to trade:
No. 2 pick
Ingram
Russell
Randle
Clarkson
Nance
PG, Butler, Boogie (again) and whoever else aren't getting moved without the Lakers being a central figure. No reason to rush anything. Lakers have the stronger hand in any card game now. Players will want to come here and they have an abundance of assets to make it happen.
I know, I know, Boston. Fuck them. Adam Jones hopefully ensures no one asks to go there.

Glad to keep the pick, along with the one in 2019. Would have been a disaster to have lost them.
Mixed about us chasing Butler or George. We could easily fall into the "Melo In New York" zone with Magic and Kobe's Agent trying to make a splash but not understanding you need to surround a Star with another Star or Two along with Quality Role Players and a Bench... or you're going to end up like Indy and Chicago were this year. Which frankly isn't good enough to get into the playoffs in the West. It's a really narrow margin of error to thread that needle, and we have a pair of folks learning the ropes of their jobs in a game of sharks. Those guys know that the Lakers are desperate to stop sucking, and will have little shame in fleecing us.
I'd just as soon see our names not come up in Boogie trades.
Boston is Boston. Better team with better cap space with better contracts with better assets without the shitty contracts and with a better GM. It pisses me off that they're closer to #18 than we are to tying them at #17. But I'm not going to let my hate of the Celtics deny that they are in far better shape than we are. |

Boston isn't that close without all of the real superstars all getting hurt at once. No closer than Indy was a couple years ago when they were jobbing to LeBron in the ECF.
Alas, fuck the Celtics.
I agree on being patient with the Lakers. Have all the assets, wait for the right move and FAs See reasons to come now. Trade the Rockets pick for a '18 pick and really refill the cupboard.
Lonzo!

I wish the Lakers would have won the #1 pick. In this scenario, they would have had to choose between the (likely) best player in Fultz and the home town stud. The potential LaVar Ball meltdown would have been epic. Well, I guess I will cling to the hope that Ainge goes with Lonzo, or Magic chooses Fox.

Paul George doesn't make All-NBA so isn't eligible for super max. He's meeting with the Pacers next week to discuss the future.
