With another coach getting the ax today, and with the coaching situation being more toxic than the NFL , this merits its own thread. Here are the teams that are looking for coaches.

1. Pacers- Probably one of the best vacancies in terms of talent, namely Paul George. But Larry Bird didnt do a great job with firing Vogel. That might be a front office to be wary of.

2. Kings- A mess all around. Talent being trouble. The front office being trouble. Not a good place to coach. And its expected that Dave Joerger, late of Memphis, will be the new head coach.

3. Rockets- Hopefully whoever is the next head coach doesnt become Kevin McHale, in that the talent tuned him out.

4. Grizzlies- Perhaps the most "peaceful" of the vacancies left. Hopefully for whoever the next coach is, they dont have many injuries ala last year.

5. Knicks- Last but not least. The big question with whoever the next coach is, if they'll agree to run the triangle offense, as ordered by Phil Jackson. There's lots of other things to look out for. Interaction with Melo. Interaction with Phil. Interaction with Dolan. That is if Kurt Rambis somehow isnt the coach.

Dave Joerger to Sacramento official.

The Rockets will interview Kenny Smith of the NBA on TNT tomorrow. That's a surprise.

I tried but I can't edit posts that have been responded to.

I would also add the Wolves there, hiring Thibs as their full-time coach, replacing the interim coach, Sam Mitchell.

Scott Skiles surprisingly resigned from the Magic. Strange situation there.

When it happened, I was guessing one of three things:

1. clash with front office
2. didn't like his players
3. health

Looks like #1 & #2.

So everyone has hired new coaches:

1. Pacers-Former Pacers assistant, Nate Mcmillan will be promoted.

2. Magic-Former Pacers head coach, Frank Vogel will become the new coach.

3. Grizzlies- Longtime Heat assistant, David Fizdale will become the new head coach.

4. Rockets- Mike D'antoni will become the new head coach.

5. Knicks- Jeff Hornacek will become the new head coach.

6. Lakers-Warriors assistant and former longtime Laker Luke Walton will become the new head coach

7. Wolves- Tom Thibadeau will become the new head coach.

8. Kings-Former Grizzlies head coach Dirk Joerger will become the new head coach.

9. Wizards-Former Thunder head coach Scott Brooks will become the new head coach.

So far I would have to say, Thibs, Vogel, and Luke Walton were the best hires.
