Wiz had a horrendous bench until shoring it up via trades, but still, he's carried that team this year.

You're right about Wall and the 3. He'll need it with age. I love his mean streak and want to. It stands out in this generation.

This article from last month was pretty informative, especially the part about Wall's comeback from double knee surgery. He has his explosiveness back, and that opens up all the other parts of his game. Plus, he has always been a gifted passer.

Watch the first quarter of the Cavs game from March 25. He was hitting everything. Literally everything.

I think he'll get the 3 eventually. He's a smart player, and has become a real hard worker as Glenn's article highlights. We've seen guys like Kidd who couldn't shoot at all work on learning to shoot the 3. Wall feels like a guy who will work on getting above average there.

Not totally sold Brooks will be the guy to get him there given how horrid the offensive sets were in OKC (bailed out by two exceptional scorers... a third when Harden was still there). But the staff looks like they're doing a good job and helping Wall improve.

Have the Lakers ever lost a Sunday afternoon game at home? The Saturday night clubs in L.A. are still undefeated.

Russell has been really good since the ASB.

Yohe was too busy watching the Mania preshow.

I was all set to write a joke post saying that the Lakers would need more than a 26 point handicap to beat the Spurs. Kudos to the kids (sans @Dloading) for holding on for the win.

Ping pong balls are over-rated. There is no way Adam Silver and the ghost of David Stern will let Magic Johnson and the Lakers lose their pick. None chance.

#1 - 15.6%
#2 - 15.7%
#3 - 15.6%
----------
#4 - 22.6%
#5 - 26.5%
#6 - 4.0%

46.9% - Keep Pick
53.1% - No Pick

Ain't going to change given the Suns are tanking so well.

The other key is that we'd lose another #1 if we lose the one this year.

If we were going to lose the pick, I would have rather won 30-35 games.

They nakedly tanked tonight by sitting Russell and then ingram for the second half. Artest played for fuck's sake.

What u gonna do. They draw three times and we gotta hope we come up one of the times.

And Glenn is right. Silver needs to put Lonzo on the Lakers for Basketball Reasons or 3rd pick for Butler or George.

After the Lakers win the lottery, I would love it if Adam Silver sent out the following statement: "The league office decided to rig the ping pong balls for business reasons."

The Suns destroyed OKC and the Lakers held on against the Kings. The Suns control their own destiny, but I think they will win at least one of their last two games.

Lakers (24-55)
Minnesota
New Orleans
@Golden State

Suns (23-57)
Dallas
@Sacramento

Today's win just reinforces the notion that Silver has rigged the lottery for the Lakers. There is no way Luke would have tried to win unless he got assurances from the league office they are keeping their pick. Then again, MWP played 11 minutes and jacked up two 3-pointers during crunch time, so maybe they tried to lose and still won.

The Lakers win their 5th straight game behind leading scorer Metta World Peace. I didn't anticipate writing that sentence a couple of weeks ago.

If the lottery wasn't rigged, the Lakers would now have a 47.8% chance of keeping their pick.
