|

With the Jets acting more and more like a team that is in its own planet, I feel its time for them to get its own thread, separated from the 31 quieter teams of the league.
And we begin with Tim Tebow wanting to get out of NY:
Tebow wants out
cant say Im shocked, given the lack of playing time hes had. He could be better off with the Jags. I have this gut feeling that he's going to have an out of the world year next year, if he's with another team. Similar to last year. Although more and more, its proven that the Broncos D helped a lot last year. |

Indeed.
So it looks like MD'A is going to going with
PG
Meeks
Kobe
Pau
Dwight
As the starters and Artest off the bench as a SF/PF with Jamison and Hill out of the rotation. For now.
Time for Mitch to make this roster fit his coach's style.

This tweet pretty much sums up the Giants and Jets in a nutshell:

In more unbelivably hilarious Jets news:
Vick to the Jets next year?
This is really like a surreal comedy. Just never ending with this team. And yet one of the funniest things about this, is that I can definately see them doing that. |

Figured I would put this here, since Mike Tanier created the list of "overly hyped" people and themes when discussing Tebowmania. There will be a few things we are all familiar with:

So its all but official that:

Quote: | So, the Jets and Tim Tebow will have a mutual parting of the ways after this season in the form of a trade or release, per source. |
Sooner or later the truth regarding Tebow collecting dust with the Jets will come out. I think there were still hurt feelings with Tebow pretty much eliminating the Jets last season during one of his comebacks. Plus the P$L's of course.
Time will tell if he'll get his wish and start for some team thats really desperate, like the Jags. |

THis really damages Tebow's Holier than thou (no pun intended) reputation. There were a few glimpses of this facade but nothing like this. He showed weakness which could damage his reputation in the future.
I can see why he would be upset and not want to play. He has been jerked around by Rex etc this year. But doing it in the way he did wont endear himself to teammates, who havent been fond of him. And some of the jags (its all but official that he'll be a Jag next year) will keep this in mind. |

Grab a clipboard Tebow because you're done.

Just when you think it cant get more surreal and unbelievable:
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/12/27/mark-sanchez-to-start-for-the-jets-this-week/
Yes this actually happened. I think one of the main telling things here is that McElroy didnt mention he had a concussion till today.
Im sure there'll be more about this story soon, and the fallout. But once again every team, including the playoff teams and the teams looking for the last playoff spots, like the cross-town Giants, are taking a backseat to the Jets. |
