So after Bill Simmons' suspension from ESPN a couple of months ago, he has a few new "battles" with some of the various ESPN folks.

This will be fun.

My guess is that it will be the old "off setting fouls" since they can't do anything to Simmons without doing something to Golic.

Simmons is apparently going to be a guest commentator for RAW, this coming week. They're already teasing a JBL/Simmons feud.

the Simmons/Vince dynamic should be the most fun part about this.

I don't think Bill has much time to get seriously involved in a lot of things. But as a longtime WWF/WWE Fanboy, he not doubt enjoys being able to have some fun with it.

I can see Fox making a play for him, but he wants to stay with primarily covering the NBA, I can see Turner creating a new entity for him.

It's late in the piece once they get to what Goodell will do. Bill is none too kind to the Commish, though he's not calling him a liar.

Likely that negotiations haven't been going great, and one of the issues is stuff like this. Skipper knew Bill was going to keep doing this, and taking shots at other ESPN Folks (there's a quick one in there at a former Colts/Bills executive who works for ESPN). Rather than let it drag on, or prior to suspending him again, Skipper got "ahead" of the story by saying ESPN was not renewing him.
