I agree that was a hellacious dunk and probably the best in-game dunk I've seen, too. Marc Stein listed a few other contenders on his Twitter.

I suppose the Vince Carter (over Frederic Weiss) and Baron Davis (over Kirilenko) dunks deserve some extra credit because they occurred in the Olympics and playoffs respectively. However, the Blake dunk has to win in terms of the jaw-dropping athletic spectacle that it represents.

Performances like last night just serve to remind me how much I fucking hate that piece of shit David Stern.

8:52 — You've probably seen it already, but this is when Kendrick Perkins gets Mozgov-ed. It's the most impressive feat of athletic force I've ever seen up close — Blake went up, got hit in the neck, somehow transferred this force into more vertical lift, and then threw the ball through the rim. Somewhere in Denver, Timofey is smiling. On Blake's poster, Mozgov's face is fading away.

I liked Griffin very much in college, but not seen him play in the NBA.

Same basically goes for Chris Paul, actually, though I've probably seen a random game or two from him with his previous team.

Due to lots of reasons (none of them particularly good) I haven't been watching any b-ball this winter, not even college. Should I start? I don't know much of anything about the Clippers except what all y'all post. :)

But at least they're not the Lakers. ;)

The Clippers have an evil slum lord racist owner. That should be enough to make you root against them.

Tully Crowchard, looking for The Enforcer Jag Anderson to tag in... ;)

Rumor has it they're close to signing Kenyon Martin, once he returns stateside.

They're not messing around this year.

Done deal for the mini-mid-level: $2.5M pro rated.

I'm a little surprised that one of the other contenders wasn't able to offer a bit more. Or perhaps he knows that playing with the Clips (read CP3) is the best way to get a better deal next season.

Undersized strong forward who is old & will take time from their good players. Head case.--Yohe

It was good that it didn't keep the Clippers from beating the Magic. We need more Magic losses to help Howard out the door. :)

Why would I hate Howard? I love Howard. Jag and I spent most of last season fantasizing about the Lakers working a deal to bring Howard here and Bynum going in the other direction.

Good win for the Slipps at Portland. I don't think Portland scored more than 10 points in the 4th quarter, and the Slipps overcame an 18 point deficit to win 74-71.

Blazers have now lost four in a row at home. Worst backcourt for the Blazers since Derek Anderson and a mop bucket suited up way back when.

Slipps fall @home to the Spurs in OT. Looks like they also gave up at least an 11 point lead if not a 15 point lead in the 2nd quarter.

Splitter and Ginobli left with minor injuries, Manu should be out 1-2 weeks and Splitter is day to day.

The Clips just traded for Washington's Nick Young, one of the biggest knuckleheads in the league.

Not a good move on paper, but we'll see if Paul has magical powers.
