It's old hat to complain about Raw, and how the matches are blah, and that the top guys are never the ones that you want to be the top guys, so I'll skip that. My one question, though, is whatever happened to babyfaces to the rescue.
Tonight's Raw, for those of you who likely skipped it, ended with a prolonged beatdown of Bobby Lashely by Umaga, Shane McMahon, Vince Mcmahon, and possibly Alejandro Armando Estrada. To be fair, I fast forwared through it, Estrada may have been the gentleman, and refused to jump in. Still, I'm more than happy to accept that three or four guys beating on one should result in the one getting whupped on. No qualms for me on that. But why didn't any one run out to Lashley's aid? Any ECW guys? Any refs and officials? Anyone?
It's not just tonight. There's a time honored tradition of having people break up beatdowns in wrestling so that they don't drag on. This dragged on. And on. And on. Grrr.

If the WWE had any brains, having a segment next week where Lashley yells at the locker, "What the hell?" and people shoot back, "You sold out to Donald Trump. Maybe you should have had an ounce of brains and realized that Trump would be gone after Wrestlemania. You'll be dealing with Vince for the rest of your career."
That would push Lashley into being a more loner babyface, the man on his own, and add some real character into both him and the story between why he'd just go ahead and agree to fight for Trump, to the point of caring when Austin stunnered. Clearly he got bought out, so lets make it clear. |

You could go that way, or just as easily counter the "he sold out" with "got a chance to wrestle in WM main event and rasie my profile/ECW's profile/profile of all people named Bobby". The sad thing is next week, there won't be a response. Whereas a reasonable person would do what you suggest, no one on staff will thank that's worth mentioning.

All I know is bald Vince with that suit and fedora looked like Freddy Kreuger last night.
BTW, thanks to WWE for delivering another bait and switch in the main event, title v. hair does not equal, shitty schmozz DQ where Lashley keeps the belt and Shane-o-Mac keeps that dead ferret on his head.

Vince's hats were the highlight of the show. Totally awful show with not much good, except Cade/Murdoch returning from Heat exile to possibly job to the Hardys. BTW, I hope Joey Styles references how he gets to call Backlash this year, after last year's classic promo "I wasn't good enough to call Backlash???"
Also the Make-a-wish kid wass better on the mic than Bobby Lindsey and countless other superstars. Maybe kids can be mouthpieces to wrestlers. |

| When I heard it was Michael Pena, I was like, "From Crash? Awesome!" and then found out it was a little kid. Total letdown. |

I had to give the Honorary GM segment a thumbs down for it not ending with a one-man Conchairto on Mr. Pena, or for Pena to kick Foley off the stage through 3 or 4 stacked up flaming barbed-wire tables (in case Colette was looking to redecorate the kitchen this spring).
