He is clearly thinking about 50, but an odd thing is happening: the team has a shot to win. Which means he might need to play to win here rather than look to shoot every time down. He can still get 50 and win, so let's see how he plays it. |

They made a mistake of not sitting him at say the 8 minute mark for 3 minutes. He's gassed now, and it's hurting the chances at a win. :/ |

Just insane. Mind numbing way to go out, with the Win taking it over the top. |

Anybody remember anything else about this season?
Kobe. Bean. Bryant.
There can only be one.

Good momentum going into next season. They can build on this. Keep the whole band together for another run.
Seriously though, I will need to make time to watch the replay of the game. Following the play-by-play on ESPN.com was just nuts.

Have we gotten Yohe out of Vegas yet?
I know he watched that game by now. Vegas is a Lakers/Kobe town.

Steve, like me, doesn't have a cell phone so I wasn't able to call him last night to see if he watched it. He also can't access the internet on the road, so it's unlikely we'll hear from him until he gets back. :) |

The point that came to me & it kind of hit me hard, seeing all the old players lined up after the game, is that the era of Kobe is over. It seems to have followed the Magic & Jabbar era and the era of West & Baylor in Los Angeles. We enter a new era in which the young players are on their own...without any star from another period left to help carry the load. Whatever future is facing them.... belongs to the young players and is theirs alone.
The only thing that impressed me was they won the game. Kobe sucking it up in the last 3 minutes was cool.
All the shit about Kobe being the greatest Lakers sucks. There was a West & Magic. I'm just sick of Kobe. He should just stay in Orange County.
So Jennie wants Scott to stay another year. I'm not posting anymore Lakers stuff until something good happens.
John wrong....where did that come from???---Yohe |
